What I advise on
Financial advisory for expats in Germany covers four areas. I handle all of them together, in one coordinated plan.
Tax Planning
Tax class optimisation, Rürup deductions, Zusammenveranlagung, voluntary Steuererklärung filing, and reducing your German income tax bill legally.
Pension & Retirement
Private pension strategy for expats: Rürup investment, ETF-based private pension, and GRV gap analysis for those who won't complete a full German pension career.
Investment Management
Depot setup, ETF portfolio design, Sparplan configuration, Freistellungsauftrag, and tax-efficient investment structures for German residents.
Insurance
GKV vs PKV analysis, personal liability, income protection, and gap review, cooperating with 160+ German insurance companies and financial partners to find the right coverage at the right cost.
Background
I grew up in Germany as the child of expats, which means I understand the German financial system from both sides: from the inside, as someone who has lived with it, and from the outside, as someone who saw what international residents go through when German institutions and German advisors aren't built for them.
I have been advising expats in Germany since 2015. The work covers tax, pension, investment, and insurance. These are the four areas that determine whether living in Germany works financially for an international professional, or costs them significantly more than it should.
All sessions are conducted in English, by video call. Clients come from across Germany and, in some cases, from outside Germany before they relocate. I am authorized under §34d GewO (insurance distribution) and §34f GewO (investment advice), and registered in the DIHK Vermittlerregister.
I advise on strategy and implementation, not just information. The goal is a running plan with real products, correct structures, and paperwork handled, not a list of things you still need to do yourself.
